The Role

As PR and Communications Manager you have a crucial role in developing the Record Union brand and taking our communications to the next level. The role includes both strategic and operative responsibilities and you will coordinate and manage all PR and communications covering all channels and markets, worldwide. You will be a part of the MARCOM team and work closely with all the different team members. You will have both individual KPI's and share overall KPI's with the rest of the MARCOM team. You will be based on Record Union's headquarters in Stockholm.

Responsibilities 

- Responsibility for managing and developing Record Union’s communications and PR-strategy globally and developing and implementing a yearly activity based PR and communications plan.

  • Media monitoring and proactive PR activities in order to get our key messages across.
  • Map and maintain our media relations and our social network on a global level.
  • Involving the rest of marcom-team in the creation of powerful and state of the art campaigns and communication initiatives.
  • Production and distribution of PR material such as press releases, press pictures etc.
  • Developing a spokesperson message platform and perform media training of co workers at Record Union, as well as artists connected to Record Union.
  • Issues communications regarding Record Union and our artists.
  • Management and delivery of the employer branding communication strategy.
  • Management and delivery of the CSR communication strategy
  • Understand the various activation channels; leadership voice and employee voice.
  • Proactively support all marketing campaigns ensuring that media is fully integrated as a key channel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years communications and PR experience working as a PR consultant is required or equivalent.
  • Multilingual skills.
  • University degree (BS), preferably in communications- or marketing-related discipline.
  • Experience leading pan-European teams and managing pan-European PR campaigns.
  • Crisis communications expertise.
  • Experience serving as primary European company spokesperson and training senior officials as company spokespersons.
  • Experience developing and implementing internal communications campaigns.
  • Experience with CSR & Employer branding campaigns
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Very strong written and positioning skills for all materials, including business communications.
  • Excellent writing skills in English (native or bilingual proficiency).
  • Demonstrated hands-on management, planning, and execution and ability to meet deadlines under time pressure.
  • Strong understanding of the public relations industry, and related knowledge of key trade publications, genre publications and local and national outlets.
  • Proficient in developing and delivering business presentations.
  • Extra bonus points if you are or have been active as an artist or a musician.
